Refugee Resettlement:St. Patrick's is joining with other Episcopal churchs in NW District, under the umbrella of Northern Nevada International Center, to support the resettlement of a refugee family. Our family is an Kurdish family of six. We are helping to secure and furnish an appartment in Reno for the family's arrival in mid-October. More details here.

Emergency Warming Center: Wonderful news: thanks to the hard work and perseverance of United for Action, including our own St. Clare, the Emergency Warming Center will again be opened in Truckee to serve Truckee and the North Shore for those in need of emergency housing, particularly in winter.

Read With Me volunteer program at Incline Elementary
All research indicates that if a child is not reading at grade level by the time they are in third grade they will drop out of school and not only fail to succeed but will get in trouble. They often wind up in prison. You have the gift of fluency in English. Most of these children need individual help during the school day because they have no one at home to help them.

Volunteers are needed at lncline Elementary School on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 3:15 pm to 4:30 pm and on Wednesday from 2:30 pm to 3:45 pm. You choose the day or days of the week you are available and specific children and materials for you to work with are provided.
