What does it take to set our minds on anything in this anxious world
of noise, screens, and perpetual distraction? Spirit is always here to
receive and restore us. We just need a way to connect.
Come experiment with simple meditation practices that bring us back
to peace. Starting August 13th, on Wednesday evenings in the
Chapel, from 5:00 to 6:00 pm, Clare will present and guide you through
different st;yles of meditation. They are as easy as breathing,
counting, centering . . . ready to help you calm your mind throughout
This is a drop-in group, so come when you can. Those who wish can
also head out together for dinner afterwards. The first Wednesday of
the month will continue to be our Healing Service with Holy Communion
based on 12-Step spirituality.

RAIN, Religious Alliance in Nevada, calls on you to help the victims of sex trafficking. Support the recovery efforts by donating to the RAIN efforts to fund Nevada treatment centers for victims.
RAIN has set up a special program for accepting donations. In the
memo line mark your tax-deductible donations for TVA (Trafficking
Victim Account) and make out your check to St. Patrick's. We will

We need volunteers to help with office work on various occasions! Our current need is for help bringing the various
parish registers up to date, including email addresses for the parish "blasts". Please let Jessica know if you will be available now or for future projects.

Photo Directories are a $5 donation, to offset printing costs, and
are available on the front foyer welcome table. The directory is
always being updated, so check the date on the bottom of your current
copy and pick up a new one if needed!
Would you like to make a difference in the life of a middle school student? If you have a half hour one day per week you
can volunteer to read one-on-one with a student at Incline Middle School. The students gain literacy skills and enjoy the
mentorship that is formed.
The reading program is Monday, Tuesday, Thurday, Friday 11:54-12:24,

Currently, Altar Guild is enthusiastically recruiting new members, men and women! Serving on Altar Guild is an important and rewarding ministry. Altar Guild sets the stage for the worship and
celebration of God using the beautiful Episcopal traditions. Preparing God's table can be a time of personal prayer and spiritual reflection. It can also be a time of friendship and sharing while
serving God and the St. Patrick community.
Our schedules are flexible and can accommodate vacations, changes in
plans, unexpected guests, and all others events that are part of a busy
and active life. We need your help, and serving in this meaningful and

Lectio Divina Begins! Clare N is leading St. Pat's first ever Lectio Divina
("sacred reading") group on Thursday 12:15 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Lectio is a Benedictine discipline of reading, meditation, and prayer, which invites participants to listen for God's Word
