Pledge Cards

Have you turned in your 2017 Pledge Card? Help us plan our budget for 2017 by filling out a pledge card. There are cards available in the pews and on the front table. Please return them to the offering plate or the office (in the box outside the office) or by mail.

Hot August Pipes

David Brock will present the 19th Annual Hot August Pipes featuring "The Joy of Bach", on Friday, August 18th at 7 pm here at St. Pat's. Tickets are $15 in advance at www.davidbrockmusic.com or $20 (cash/check) at the door.

St. Francis of Assisi Pilgrims

Nine Tuesdays, July 11th to Sept. 5th, leaving St. Francis parking lot at 9:30 am (701 Mt. Rose Hwy, Incline Village). Walk as companions with your neighbors, in prayer and play. Guided easy to moderate 3- to 5-mile hikes each week on different local trails, to refresh our spirits with Mother Earth. Contact the organizer, Monica Armanino (530.412.0144 or monica@ltol.com) to let her know you're interested. Drop in to walk when you can!

Father John’s Last Day

Save the Date: Sunday, September 3rd will be Fr. John's last services at 8am and 10am. Join us at 11:30am for a farewell potluck luncheon honoring Fr. John and his wife Cindy on the patio! Please sign up in the church foyer to bring something for the lunch

Sarah's Welcome Beach BBQ

Join us Sunday, September 24th after the 10:00 service for a beach BBQ to welcome Rev. Sarah and Nate. It will be at Incline Beach; reserved tables will be near the creek between Incline Beach and The Hyatt. Bring a protein, a dish to share, and your choice of beverage. It will be kid friendly (including games for kids and adults); so bring your children, grandchildren, kids of all ages. The coals will be HOT so if you wish to cook at the beach, be our guest.

Of course, the coals will be perfect for some-mores. The church will provide marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate. Remember sun screen for the day and something warm if you stay until later. Sign up sheet will be on the foyer coffee table September 1st.

Interfaith Prayer and Quieting

What does it take to set our minds on anything in this anxious world of noise, screens, and perpetual distraction? Spirit is always here to receive and restore us. We just need a way to connect.

Come experiment with simple meditation practices that bring us back to peace.

Join us for Coloring Meditation with Music on Weds 8/16, 8/23, 8/30 in St. Pat's Library. Drop in to try this popular practice. (We'll have mandalas and other designs available to choose from.) We'll center with a guided quieting meditation and then color to music. Please bring any coloring materials (pens, pencils, crayons, markers) you have!

This is a drop-in group, so come when you can.

Coffee Hour Signups

Would you be willing to provide refreshments after our Sunday morning services? The Coffee Hour sign-up sheet is on the wooden table in the foyer.

Please sign up for as many Sundays as you can: there will be no coffee hour on those Sundays without a "host"!

Sex Trafficking Victims

RAIN, Religious Alliance in Nevada, calls on you to help the victims of sex trafficking. Support the recovery efforts by donating to the RAIN efforts to fund Nevada treatment centers for victims.

RAIN has set up a special program for accepting donations. In the memo line mark your tax-deductible donations for TVA (Trafficking Victim Account) and make out your check to St. Patrick's. We will forward the donations to the RAIN treasurer. Visit the RAIN Web site for more information.

Altar Flowers Needed

The 2017 flower chart is available. Please sign-up now on the chart in the Narthex for a date to ensure a lovely display every Sunday. The altar flowers are arranged by High Sierra Gardens. Donation $65.00 (includes delivery); please note on your check "flower fund" and put it into the collection plate, mail it to the church office, or deposit it into the box outside of the office.

What Are Your Special Dates?

Birthdays, anniversaries, baptisms, confirmations, ordinations . . . we'd love to remember and celebrate along with you! Please email your special dates (month/day/year) to the office.

Office Help Needed

We need volunteers to help with office work on various occasions! Our current need is for help bringing the various parish registers up to date, including email addresses for the parish "blasts". Please let Jessica know if you will be available now or for future projects.

Keep Your Records Up-to-Date

Don't forget to let the office know if you've had a change in address, phone number, or email address so we can keep our records up to date! If you'd like to change your picture in the photo directory, please email a new one to the church office.

Photo Directories are a $5 donation, to offset printing costs, and are available on the front foyer welcome table. The directory is always being updated, so check the date on the bottom of your current copy and pick up a new one if needed!

Reading Program

Would you like to make a difference in the life of a middle school student? If you have a half hour one day per week you can volunteer to read one-on-one with a student at Incline Middle School. The students gain literacy skills and enjoy the mentorship that is formed.

The reading program is Monday, Tuesday, Thurday, Friday 11:54-12:24, starting Sept. 10th. If you are interested please contact Liz Harrell at 832-4220 or by email.

Altar Guild Recruiting

Currently, Altar Guild is enthusiastically recruiting new members, men and women! Serving on Altar Guild is an important and rewarding ministry. Altar Guild sets the stage for the worship and celebration of God using the beautiful Episcopal traditions. Preparing God's table can be a time of personal prayer and spiritual reflection. It can also be a time of friendship and sharing while serving God and the St. Patrick community.

Our schedules are flexible and can accommodate vacations, changes in plans, unexpected guests, and all others events that are part of a busy and active life. Lectio Divina

Lectio Divina Begins! Clare N is leading St. Pat's first ever Lectio Divina ("sacred reading") group on Thursday 12:15 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Lectio is a Benedictine discipline of reading, meditation, and prayer, which invites participants to listen for God's Word to them.

Printer Cartridges

St. Pat's recycles used inkjet cartridges in exchange for money for our church. It's easy to participate: just bring in your used inkjet cartridges in a Ziploc bag and put them into the collection box in the white cabinet on the way to the Library. We send them to Empties4Cash, and then they send us a check!

Choir Members Needed

Come on out and lend your voice to our choir, which meets every Thursday at 5:30 p.m. All levels of singing ability are appreciated and welcome!!
